James SucklingChâteau Giscours201492-93Very pretty cabernet sauvignon character. Full body, fine tannins and a bright finish. Ultra-fine tannins. Tight and caressing. Refined. This is a little more cabernet in the blend that gives detail and direction.

Fresh, with pretty cherry and plum fruit, lined with a light red licorice thread and backed by violet and iron notes on the
finish. Not that dense but has good range and definition.—J.M. (March 2014)

17/20 2024 – 2050

The Wine Doctor - Chris KissackChâteau Giscours201415,5-16,5Château Giscours 2014: I find a rather open, gravelly perfume on the nose here which has immediate appeal, also showing some lightly desiccated red cherry
with a little vanilla twist. A gentle texture at best on the palate, the cool linearity of the vintage defining the texture of the wine, fresh and bright with its acids,
backed up by some very ripe tannins, plush and lightly chewy in the finish. The palate feels a little more full and plump in the middle. Overall this is firm, grippy,
and lightly laced with charcoal confidence in the end. Good potential. 15.5-16.5/20

Roger Voss - Wine EnthusiastChâteau Giscours201494-96Château Giscours 2014 : Barrel Sample. Pronounced toast aromas follow through to the palate, yielding an assertive smoky toast character throughout. However, this impressive wine’s real potential is the undertow of ripe fruit. It needs cellaring for many years to fully harmonize.31/03/2015
